Not Destroyed

Lance Kinseth, 2018

4 English translations;

The Original Face has nowhere to hide.
When the world is destroyed, it is not destroyed.

No where to hide the original face.
When the universe collapses, it does not decay.

There is nowhere to hide the True Self.
When the world collapses, “it” is indestructible.

Your true self has nowhere to hide;
When the world is destroyed, it is not destroyed.

through and through...

A monk by the name of E-cho asked Hogen Buneki, a Master, "What is
buddha?"

"You are E-cho," the Master replied.

This reply of Hogen means, "Why do you seek for Buddha apart from E-cho who is sitting here right now?
Where E-cho is E-cho through and through, there you see Buddha."

Seeing My Own Face

At Shoin-ji after 1717:

My own mind, mountains and rivers, the great earth seemed
serene and bottomless.... After this, when I looked at all things,
it was as though I was seeing my own face.  For the
first time i understood the meaning of the saying, “The
[enlightened spirit] sees the Buddha-nature within the eye.”

The One Thing That Matters

In reality, there is not the slightest thing that could be the source of understanding or doubt for you. Rather, you have the one thing that matters, each and every one of you! Its great function manifests without the slightest effort on your part; you are no different from the patriarch-buddhas!

Freedom

Listen for the sound of a single hand
and what is the sound of one hand clapping
  and is the sound of the right hand different or he same as the left hand
and what is the sound of half of a hand...

What might a black crow on ice or a red squirrel in snow or a white cloud in blue sky have to do with the above? While not attaining the primary point, crow-, squirrel-, and cloud-insight here opens a big gate.
